Clandrix

Browser-based tools that load instantly. Convert files, edit photos, edit video, build spreadsheets, write documents. No accounts, no uploads.

Site Search is the front door to that network. Type a word and it narrows the list of Clandrix sites as you type, so you can find the right tool when you know what you want to do but not what it is called.

How it works

The list of sites on this page is part of the page itself. When you type, the page waits about a tenth of a second and then draws the list again with only the cards that match; nothing you type is sent anywhere, and the search makes no request of its own. Two small scripts do come from sponsors.clandrix.com when the page opens: the network directory that fills the information panel, and the sponsor code, which asks the same host for its list of sponsors. All of that is asked for before you have typed anything, and none of it carries anything about you. The verify page explains how to watch that for yourself in your browser's own network tab.

What it handles

Twelve sites are listed: Flipbook, Tables, File Viewer, Calculator, Stream, Audio, Photo, Wiki, File Converter, Brush, Studio and Print. A search looks at the name, the address and the one-line description of each, ignores upper and lower case, and matches on any part of a word, so "conv" finds File Converter. The count above the results says how many matched, and a card opens its site in a new tab. The code sets no limit on how long a search can be and no limit on how many results it shows.

What it does not do

This page opens no files, converts nothing and saves nothing; the tools it links to do that work, each on its own site. It does not search inside those sites, only the names, addresses and descriptions held on this page. It keeps no record of what you searched for, sets no cookies, and has nothing to sign in to.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-in on this page, and the tools it links to do not ask for one either.

Where does what I type go?

Nowhere. The list of sites is already in the page, and the filtering happens in your browser.

Why has a site disappeared while I type?

A card stays only while your text is part of its name, address or description. Empty the box, or press the clear button, to see all twelve again.

Can I search from the keyboard?

Press the slash key to jump to the search box from anywhere on the page, and Escape while you are in it to empty it again.

Does it work without a connection?

After the first visit the page keeps a copy of itself on your device, and the search needs nothing from the network. The sites it links to are separate and need a connection to open.

Why is there a sponsor on the page?

Sponsors pay for the network's hosting. Their slots are served from sponsors.clandrix.com, are marked as sponsorship, and no sponsor is contacted until you follow one of their links.
